About the opportunity

This is a senior field leadership seat. The Superintendent runs the job on site in partnership with the Project Manager and is the person the client, the design team and the trades deal with on constructability and field issues.

Developing the field team is part of the mandate rather than an afterthought, and the seat carries responsibility for the safety culture on the project.

The role

As Senior Superintendent you will oversee the successful completion of assigned projects in collaboration with the Project Manager, ensuring all aspects are executed efficiently from pre-construction through closeout.

You will lead job site safety initiatives, enforce quality standards across the project team and subcontractors, and act as the primary point of contact for field and constructability issues.

What we are looking for

Required

  • Significant construction management experience, particularly on large-scale projects
  • Proven track record managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Superintendent function of record on the projects you describe, rather than assistant or support scope
  • Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills
  • Problem solving ability and adaptability in a field environment
  • Able to work on site in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area
  • Able to travel occasionally to project sites, work in varied weather conditions, and meet the physical demands of walking job sites and overseeing construction activity

Preferred

  • A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
  • Experience running projects in the South Florida market

Why this seat

  • Ownership of the job on site from pre-construction through closeout, in partnership with the Project Manager.
